I am a portrait artist from Scotland, Edinburgh where I blend my affection for nature with the essence of expression through portrait and gaze, studying graphic illustration and painting at college. I have developed my own style of portrait using the medium of pencil and ink while adding in paper collage, pressed flowers and lace to many of my works . In moments words can feel easier expressed through art and portrait, a certain mood and what we experience. I use portraiture as a way to connect the body and face, the human and soul and the joys and mysteries of life alongside the natural world. Nature has over time been a place I can find time to be still and simply be in it, a physical and spiritual balm for the body and spirit and my work is a celebration of the two entwined.
